Overview

Alien is a 1984 strategy/adventure game based on the 1979 film. Developed by Concept Software and published by Argus Press Software, it launched on the Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum, with an Amstrad CPC version following in 1985. It is single‑player.

Gameplay

You command the entire Nostromo crew in a tension‑driven, menu‑based hunt for the alien. Characters move around a deck map, collecting items like nets and incinerators and reacting to danger with shifting morale—from confident to hysterical—which affects whether they follow orders. One crewmate is secretly an android. With the crew dwindling, you can trigger self‑destruct and escape in the shuttle.
