Overview

Predator 2 is a 1990 video game adaptation of the sci-fi action film, developed by Oxford Mobius and Arc Developments and published by Image Works, Konami, and Mirrorsoft. Players take on the role of LAPD Detective Lt. Mike Harrigan as he battles through crime-ridden streets to rescue hostages and hunt down the deadly Predator.

Gameplay

The game plays as a rail shooter reminiscent of arcade classics like Operation Wolf. Across four challenging levels, players face off against drug gangs, rescue civilians from the Predator's targeting laser, and confront bosses in intense firefights. A variety of weapons—pistols, shotguns, grenades—are available, along with power-ups such as armor and health packs to survive the escalating threat.

Reception

Upon release, Predator 2 received mixed reviews. Critics praised its atmospheric presentation and ties to the film but noted repetitive gameplay and limited animation. While not considered a standout hit, it remains a nostalgic title for fans of early 90s licensed action games.
